brings up some interesting points. I find Alessandro Tosi's comparisons between a "museum" and "wunderkammer" interesting but my definition of museum is much broader. For me, provided that the items were displayed for others to see, I would consider the collection to be a museum. Whereas I do not consider the museum (which I am forgetting at the moment but I don't have time to look up) that is discussed in the 'boundary objects' paper by Star & Greismer to be a museum as the collection is not displayed and not viewable (it is a research only museum).
The books I have read (starting 9/9/07). So many times I read a book and then forget about it. This is my attempt to write down what I have read. The posting are not carefully crafted reviews, mostly just reactions.
