I heard about this book through a radio story (This American Life, I think ) and it was a story because there was a movie that was recently made from this book. It is a true story about a big corporate scandal that happened in the '90's (which was before I started paying any attention to the news).
This was such a crazy story - the corporate underhandedness as well a mental instability plus bureaucracy made for the weirdest chain of events.
