The Black Jewels: Trilogy - Anne Bishop

My sister-in-law Teresa gave me this book. It is actually 3 books in one volume: Daughter of the Blood, Heir to the Shadows and Queen of the Darkness

I am glad that I had all three books in one like this because otherwise I am not sure if I would have read all the way through. The first book was a hard read for me - the writing was a bit awkward and the world took a long time to understand. The second book was really good, I enjoyed that one a lot and was glad that I made it to there. The third book was okay. This trilogy fell into one of the common traps (pet peeves of mine) - the ending is rushed. In this case, very rushed.

All in all, it was good. I'm glad that I was given this book.
