Goodness! I wish my book club would pick happier books! It seems we are always reading death, suffering and/or war. Oh well, atleast I am reading books that I would otherwise not know about or not pick up for myself.
This book, narrated by Death, is about a little girl in Nazi Germany who makes her way through her tough life by reading (and stealing the books that she's reading). It was a very good book. I guess it is listed as Young Adult fiction but at it's 552 pages and serious theme I would be impressed if I saw a young adult reading it.
i would recommend this book but I'm not sure who I would recommend it to.
