Another book club selection, nonfiction this time.
This book is an autobiography of an autistic savant. It was interesting to me to read about what goes on inside the mind of a person with Asperger's. I have had students in my classes who have had Aspergers and other higher functioning autism. In my school we have the district's austim program so we do get to see the kids that can't function in a regular class as well. So my limited experience with autistic students make reading about it very interesting.
I have also read "Send in the Idiots" bt Kamran Nazeer, which is another book on autism written by an autistic.
The books I have read (starting 9/9/07). So many times I read a book and then forget about it. This is my attempt to write down what I have read. The posting are not carefully crafted reviews, mostly just reactions.
