Microserfs - Douglas Coupland

This book, written about 12 years ago, was an interesting reflection of the times. The cultural references and the way of thinking that were apart of the early to mid 1990's was interesting to read in a piece that was written at the time, not in retrospect. This story set up mirrored that of J Pod - a group of strange people working together in a techie job that would seem to the outside world to be glamourous.

J Pod had this set up plus a whole bunch of the strangest scenarios. Microserfs had a bunch of geeky people living lives of drudgery and extended adolescence. The people in this story reminded me of many students in my undergraduate physics courses. . .

The ending of this book was nice enough, it brought the characters together.
